Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Apple ID. Even if someone gets your password, they still cannot access your account without the verification code sent to your trusted device.

To enable it, go to your iPhone settings, tap your Apple ID profile, select “Password & Security,” and turn on Two-Factor Authentication. Always keep your trusted phone number updated.

Manage Trusted Devices Regularly

Review the devices connected to your Apple ID regularly. Remove devices you no longer use or do not recognize. This helps prevent unauthorized access from old or unknown devices.

You can check your trusted devices by going to Settings and tapping your Apple ID profile. Every connected device linked to your account will appear there.

Avoid Phishing Scams

Cybercriminals often send fake Apple emails or text messages asking users to verify their account information. Never click suspicious links or enter your Apple ID password on unknown websites.

Always verify that Apple websites begin with “https://” and use official Apple domains. If you receive an unexpected security alert, visit Apple directly instead of clicking links in emails or SMS messages.

Use a Strong Password

Create a unique password that combines uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using birthdays, phone numbers, or common passwords that can easily be guessed.

Changing your Apple ID password periodically also helps improve account security and reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
